At 36 weeks, our baby couldn't wait any longer to meet us.
July 30 at 4:00 am my water broke. We called the doctor at 4:30 and knew immediately. We finished packing our hospital bag, took the car seat out of the box, showered, stopped at Dunkin Donuts for some early morning breakfast, and headed to the hospital. I didn't have contractions until hours later, and even then it was only a few. After 8 hours, I still wasn't dilated more than 3 1/2 cm, so I was given the smallest amount of pitocin. Within 5 minutes I was having contractions. 9 hours later, our son was born.
Zachary George was born at 9:08 pm, weighing 6 lbs. 6 oz. and 19.5 inches long. He's our healthy, beautiful baby boy!
