Honeymoon

Our beautiful wedding rings!

We went on a cruise to the Bahamas! It was amazing! We swam in the pool on the 11th deck, had a few drinks, ate a lot of really good food, went to a few shows, took many naps, and Mike even got to play in the casino twice! The best part was spending all of those days together with no cell phones, internet, or any other connection to the real world!

So many gorgeous sunsets!

The first island, Cocoa Cay. We rented a wave runner and drove around the ocean for an hour. I swam in the middle of the ocean and held a huge starfish!

They had a night just for honeymooners, and I managed to dump a glass of mimosa all over my dress! We still danced and enjoyed this special time together.

The second island, Nassau. It was so hot this day that we went back to the ship to shower 3 times! We got some good deals on souveniers in the straw market.

We went snorkeling in the middle of the ocean! Although Mike was very nervous, he had a great time (after getting an extra life jacket to comfort him). Fish were swimming all around us!

We took a ferry over to Paradise Island, where we walked through Atlantis, enjoyed some Jamba Juice, and went for a long swim in the warm ocean! The sand was extremely soft and the view was beautiful. We could have stayed there forever!

After our long, sweaty day on the islands, we enjoyed a few drinks at Senior Frogs. Mike enjoyed his fruity Bahama Mama!

We watched the sun set while we enjoyed our drinks.

After our cruise, we stayed in Florida for the weekend driving a convertible around town! We went to Universal Studios, Busch Gardens, and the beach. I even went on 3 roller coasters with Mike at Busch Gardens, without feeling too sick. We found a great Thai restaurant, Japanese Steakhouse, and a 711 for a huge slurpee.

The last day of our honeymoon, after spending a few hours on the beach, we drove along the coast in our convertible, with the top down of course! The week was absolutely amazing, and we enjoyed every second of it.

Our Wedding Day!!! 8/2/08

Our wedding day is finally here!

Handsome groom!

Beautiful Bride!

This was my grandma's wedding dress that my mom and I each altered to wear as our own. My grandma had long sleeves and bustles on each side. My mom changed it to lace sleeves, took off the bustles, and added a veil. I had the straps made from my grandma's sleeves, added pearls and a loop to bustle the train for the reception, put pearls and crystals in the veil, and attached it to a comb. The size, length, and basic style is exactly the same as my grandma and mom both wore. This wedding dress is very special to me.

Finally on our way!

Waiting patiently as the storm continued to grow... Many clouds were overhead as the sky was turning dark, the wind was picking up, thunder was getting louder and more consistent, the ocean waves were crashing, seagulls were squacking, and guests were getting nervous!

The rain held off until 5 minutes after the ceremony ended, so most guests made it inside dry!

A few rain drops weren't going to stop our outside pictures!

The rain began to stop as the sun started to set. It was beautiful!

Our first dance, "You're Everything" by Keith Urban

Dancing with my dad, "My Wish" by Rascal Flatts

Mike & his mom dancing, "A song for my son" by Mikki

A special dance with our grandparents to say thank-you for being so wonderful!

"Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole & Natalie Cole

It was so hot inside!

Granny had fun dancing the night away!

Finally some comfortable shoes!

There's Granny again; she found John to dance with this time!

Gram & Grandpa have been married 57 years.
Love is amazing.

They also got married in Nahant, MA.

Our beautiful (and delicious) wedding cake that only took me 15 hours to make...! It was worth it.
Yum!!

John enjoyed so many parts of Boston, especially dancing with his step-mom, Katie.

After my wedding dress ripped I had to change, but we had a blast dancing the rest of the night!

My niece Sophia, who cried and slept through most of our wedding!

The entire day was beautiful!
It was perfect.
